What is ArcGIS Enterprise?

ArcGIS Enterprise is a foundational software system for GIS that introduces a smoother way to apply security, analyze data, collaborate, and create cross-platform maps and applications. It is the backbone for running the Esri suite of applications and your own custom applications. ArcGIS Enterprise can be run on local infrastructure such as server machines, cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, or a mix of the two deployments.
